What did Gillian Anderson say about the X-Files reboot?
During a chat on ITV1’s This Morning, Anderson mentioned that she has discussed the reboot with Ryan Coogler. According to her, she highly appreciates Coogler’s work, and if given the opportunity to be part of the series, it could potentially happen.
Anderson mentioned that he had a conversation with someone, and in that conversation, he expressed, “If anyone were to take on this task, I believe you are the ideal candidate, and I wish you the best of luck. If you call me, please do.” However, he added, “Should my phone ring someday with a good opportunity that seems fitting for the right moment, perhaps I will consider it.

The thought of diving back into that paranormal mystery world was already giving me goosebumps!
In 2023, Chris Carter, the mastermind behind The X-Files, revealed plans for a multi-ethnic ensemble, while in 2024, he announced his departure from the project, expressing his enthusiasm and support for its continued success.
First broadcast in 1993, “The X-Files” featured David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson as FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully. The show centered around their investigations into the mysterious “X-Files,” which involved unexplained occurrences with supernatural elements. Over its 11 seasons, the series aired a total of 218 episodes.
After its completion, the television show “The X-Files” held the title for the longest-running science fiction series in American television, earning a grand total of 62 Emmy Award nominations, of which it won 16. Furthermore, this series ignited a vast fandom that persists until now and significantly impacted future science fiction productions such as “Lost”, “Supernatural”, “Gravity Falls”, “The Visitor”, among others.
