The video showcases six distinct tales, each one involving Segura in unusual predicaments, where his impulsive thoughts take over. This new venture marks the comedian’s debut scripted comedy series on Netflix, having worked with them for more than a decade on his stand-up specials such as Completely Normal (2014), Mostly Stories (2016), Disgraceful (2018), Ball Hog (2020), and Sledgehammer (2023).

The show ‘Bad Thoughts’ is the brainchild of Segura, who serves as its creator, director, and executive producer. When it was initially unveiled, it was compared to a fusion between ‘Black Mirror’ and ‘Chappell’s Show’, with Segura appearing in various situations. The series will also include a number of supporting actors, such as comedian and Segura’s wife Christina Pazsitzky, Kira Spencer Cook, Alexis Abrams, Norma Jean, Bob Pack, Sean Middleston, David Pigott, Carla Seneca, and many others.

The creative team encompasses directors Jeremy Konner and Rami Hachache, together with scriptwriters Conor Galvin, Craig Gerard, Hachache, Greg Tuculescu, and Matthew Zinman. Additionally, it is overseen by executive producers Ryan Hall, Molly Mandel, Konner, Gerard, and Zinman.
