Episode III – Revenge of the Sith managed to outperform Sinners in the U.S. box office last weekend.
For the second consecutive weekend, Ryan Coogler’s movie “Sinners” held the number one position at the North American box office. Over the weekend, it earned an extra $45 million, representing only a minor 6% decrease from its opening weekend. This has increased its domestic earnings to a total of $122.5 million.
In the box office race, Star Wars earned an outstanding second place with $25.2 million (a significant amount for a rerun), as reported by Deadline. On the other hand, The Accountant 2 slightly underperformed Revenge of the Sith with $24.4 million. Lastly, Until Dawn took fifth place with $8 million in earnings.
