FX’s JFK Show American Love Story Finds Its Jackie & Caroline Kennedy

In the end, FX has found ideal actresses to portray Jackie and Caroline Kennedy in Ryan Murphy’s new anthology drama titled “American Love Story“. The initial episode of this spin-off will focus on the well-known love tale between American nobility John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy.

The series narrates the tumultuous romance and marriage between Kennedy and Bessett, often seen as American royalty. At first, their relationship was admired for its beauty, but the unforgiving gaze of tabloid media and the constant scrutiny took a toll on them. Their careers’ demands and alleged family disagreements eventually led to their unfortunate demise when his plane crashed into the ocean on a foggy summer evening off the Massachusetts coast.

Who is playing Jackie and Caroline Kennedy in American Love Story?

I’m thrilled that Ryan Murphy has tapped Naomi Watts for the role of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis once more, a collaboration we’ve seen many times before. This new TV venture is her latest project with the creative mind behind Glee, following their work on Feud: Capote vs. The Swans series last year. In addition to American Love Story, Watts will also appear in Murphy’s upcoming Hulu legal drama All’s Fair alongside Glenn Close, Sarah Paulson, and Kim Kardashian. I can hardly wait!

Currently, Grace Gummer has been chosen for the role of Caroline Kennedy, JFK and Jackie Kennedy’s only daughter. Previously, Gummer had worked with Murphy on the popular FX series American Horror Story, appearing in a total of ten episodes. As a veteran of Mr. Robot, it is anticipated that she will also star in Murphy’s upcoming All’s Fair series.
