In these reports, they revealed that their total earnings for the quarter were $90.23 billion, with YouTube ads accounting for approximately $8.927 billion of that amount. This represents a significant increase compared to the $8.090 billion generated in Q1 2024.
YouTube ad revenue for Google in the latest year showed an increase compared to the previous year, but there was no growth when comparing quarters. While the earnings for Q1 2024 ($8.927 billion) were surpassed by the total earned during Q4 2024, it fell significantly short of the $10.473 billion generated in Q4 2024. This discrepancy can be attributed to the last quarter of 2024 coinciding with the US presidential election, which saw a significant increase in political ad spending throughout the season.
