If the merchant possesses a high level of expertise in Mercantile skill and has a Disposition below 50, it’s advisable to set more conservative targets. Players can only ascertain if their bargaining agreement is accepted once they attempt to purchase or sell an item.

If the price is excessively steep, they won’t be interested in either selling or purchasing the item. In this case, ‘Offer Rejected’ will appear at the top, and the NPC will express something similar. The players will then need to make a lower proposal.

Be aware that the trader’s Disposition will decrease slightly with each failed offer.
