In April, Monster Hunter Wilds launched its initial update, introducing fresh monster hunts, demanding challenge quests, and a novel Grand Hub serving as both the primary operational hub and social gathering spot for hunters to interact during breaks from quests. This location is also hosting Blossomdance, the inaugural seasonal event of Monster Hunter Wilds, which began last night amidst a shower of cherry blossom petals and armor sets themed around sakura.
Upon stepping into the Grand Hub during Blossomdance, you’re immediately surrounded by a sea of pink. This is Monster Hunter’s unique take on a hanami festival, transforming the Hub with cherry blossoms and pastel spring decorations. The star attraction, though, are the sakura-themed armor sets that grace the event. The Sakuratide armor sets are undeniably among the most beautiful outfits in Wild, and I’m certain they’ll be popular choices for layered armor combinations for many years ahead.
Are my cosplay outfits becoming a bit too excessive to maintain comfortably? Indeed, they are quite impressive. (And should you wish, altering the color of the armor could help tone down the vibrant pink.)
To create the Sakuratide outfits, you’ll require Blossomdance Tickets. These tickets can be obtained as login rewards and special mission prizes during the event’s fortnight. In a week, the mission rewards will provide sufficient tickets for just one armor set, but here’s some good news: Donning Sakuratide armor items will grant you the Blossomdance Boon ability, increasing your chances of earning extra Blossomdance Tickets when you accomplish quests. So, slip into your new outfits, embark on some missions, and you’ll amass enough materials for both sets in no time!
Apart from using Blossomdance Tickets to create an intriguing papier mache costume for your palico, which some might find eerie, there is also a fresh event quest available where you can hunt a Tempered Xu Wu to obtain another type of ticket. This new ticket can be utilized to craft an appealing eyepatch. It seems like this week offers exciting opportunities to enhance your Monster Hunter World’s visual appeal.
There are even more rewards up for grabs! Once you log in during the event, you’ll automatically receive a new Seikret decoration, a petal-tossing gesture, and sakura-themed pop-up camp gear, among others. Additionally, you can chat with one of the Support Deck palico NPCs and choose “Claim Content” to obtain a complimentary weapon pendant. In essence, it’s a cornucopia of free gifts!
During the ongoing event, these armor collections and cosmetic items can be obtained; however, they will disappear once the event concludes. So, don’t forget to log into the game and secure them before Blossomdance comes to a close on May 7th.
