Assassin’s Creed Animus is very exciting

Introducing our upcoming board game, which we’re planning to release on Kickstarter! This exciting and challenging game is described as a “multi-era historical adventure,” inspired by beloved past games. Keep an eye out for more details as the crowdfunding campaign officially begins in 2025.

In a recent announcement, Mantic Games’ founder and CEO, Ronnie Renton, expressed his excitement about teaming up with Ubisoft to develop an Assassin’s Creed board game. He promised that the game will showcase a strong adherence to the franchise’s mythology and past events, offer intriguing asymmetric characters, and present challenging decisions for players as they strive to achieve their individual goals while outmaneuvering their opponents.

Although specifics about the upcoming board game are still scant, artwork hints that characters from every era of Assassin’s Creed series will make a return. Among these veterans are Altair, the first great assassin, Ezio, and Connor from the original trilogy, as well as Eivor who originates from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

Mantic Games is recognized for their exceptional, speedy board games. Although I haven’t delved deeply into many of the company’s board games, I have spent a considerable amount of time with the fundamental version of Halo Flashpoint, an outstanding adaptation of Halo Infinite’s multiplayer experience in board game format. Following countless hours of intense multiplayer sessions enjoyed with my partner, I am confident that Mantic will successfully translate Assassin’s Creed into a board game setting.
