How To Increase Movement Speed In Oblivion Remastered

As a dedicated fan, I can’t contain my excitement about the enhancements made to The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered! Unlike the original, you’ll now find yourself with the thrilling new ability to sprint across Cyrodiil without relying on a horse. And guess what? Even our trusty steeds can gallop now, adding an extra dose of speed and excitement to your adventures!

As a gamer immersed in Oblivion Remastered, I can dash, dodge, and outrun my foes more efficiently thanks to the enhanced sprint feature. It’s not just about escaping danger or retreating after a crime, but also using it to maneuver tactically with ranged attacks. Plus, there are numerous methods to amplify my speed, whether I’m strolling, sprinting, swimming, or simply walking. These speed enhancements are all linked to the game’s Speed Attribute.

How To Sprint In Oblivion Remastered

In the game “Oblivion: Remastered”, you can start sprinting right away without any additional unlocking steps. To do this, you need to keep pressing the specified buttons for each platform, because there’s no option to turn on sprinting manually within the game.

  • Xbox: Left Stick
  • PlayStation: Left Stick
  • PC: Left Shift (This binding can be changed in the options)

These very same buttons have the ability to simulate the action of galloping on a horseback as well. For PC users, pressing the Caps Lock key can be used to turn walking on and off.

How To Get More Fatigue/Stamina & Regen

Players should aim to boost their endurance level and the rate at which it recovers, enabling them to run greater distances without becoming fatigued.

  • Maximum Fatigue: Determined by the Willpower Attribute, and Agility helps slightly.
  • Fatigue Regeneration: Determined by the Agility Attribute.

Attribute points can be spent upon leveling up.

Be careful not to run out of Fatigue in combat, as a hit will cause you to be knocked down.

Enhancing your Athletics skill is fantastic too, since at lower levels, your stamina while running will rejuvenate quicker. Once you surpass level 50, you’ll notice that sprinting will require less stamina. At level 100 in Athletics, sprinting won’t deplete your stamina whatsoever.

Improving athletic skills can be achieved through activities like running, sprinting, and especially swimming, which some consider the most effective method.

How To Increase Movement Speed In Oblivion Remastered

The Speed Attribute

The Speed Trait determines how fast a character moves while walking, running, sprinting, or swimming.

In the remastered version of Oblivion, bonus points can be assigned to Speed when your character levels up. Moreover, the Steed Birthsign enhances Speed by 20 points, and the Thief does so by 10. However, only one of these options can be chosen during the tutorial.

Athletics Skill

Besides boosting Fatigue recovery, the Athletics skill enhances your movement pace as well. Enrolling in a class where this is a key skill will give you a headstart with it being at higher levels initially. This skill can be further enhanced through activities like running, swimming, and sprinting.

Speed Spells & Potions

During the course of the game, players can discover several items that either momentarily boost their running speed or rejuvenate their stamina, often referred to as speed-enhancing potions and fatigue-restoring elixirs. Additionally, there are spells available that offer similar benefits.
