Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko receives FINAL warning from FEFKA over misconduct allegations

The Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA) has strongly admonished actor Shine Tom Chacko after severe accusations from actress Vincy Aloshious. She stated that the actor acted improperly towards her on set, possibly under the influence of drugs. In reaction to these allegations, FEFKA has granted Shine Tom a final chance to modify his behavior. They emphasized that any additional misbehavior could make it challenging for the industry association to endorse his future participation in film productions.

At a recent press conference, B Unnikrishnan, general secretary of FEFKA, announced that the actor has been granted one more chance to change his ways. This decision was made following Shine’s request for another shot at improvement. FEFKA recognized his talent and youth, but they also emphasized that their leniency should not be misunderstood as a sign of weakness.

As reported by PTI, Unnikrishnan stated that the organization is committed to resolving such issues and told Shine that any future partnership hinges upon him finding a solution. It appears that the actor has promised FEFKA he will take the appropriate actions.

After Vincy Aloshious’s complaint, FEFKA reached out to the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA), expressing their worries about the ongoing work environment. They cautioned AMMA that carrying on with productions under these conditions might prove challenging.

Over the past six months, film production in the Malayalam industry has dropped by approximately 45%, as reported by Unnikrishnan. This significant decrease is primarily attributed to a reluctance among major investors and corporations to finance movies due to the ongoing disputes.

Additionally, he expressed worries about the increasing belief that the field is tainted by drug problems. If unchecked, this damaging reputation might drive the industry deeper into turmoil.

Shine Tom Chacko, more recently, was detained and subsequently granted bail following accusations that he fled a hotel in Kochi during an inspection carried out by the District Anti-Narcotic Special Action Force (DANSAF). He now faces charges under several provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS Act) as well as the Indian Legal Code, known as the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Prior to his apprehension, Vincy Aloshious made a grievance to the Film Chamber and AMMA, alleging the actor’s inappropriate behavior on the set of the unlaunched film Soothravakyam. Despite no official police report being filed by her, this incident has garnered notice from both the movie industry and state administration.
