Box Office Results: Sinners Takes Easter Weekend, Pride & Prejudice Rerelease Does Well

Easter weekend was for the Sinners at the domestic box office.

Over the Easter weekend, the movie “Sinners,” starring Michael B. Jordan and produced by both Warner Bros. and Ryan Coogler, reigned supreme at the U.S. box office by earning an impressive $45.6 million. This surpassed “A Minecraft Movie,” another Warner Bros. production, which took second place in its third week with a strong $41.3 million.

In a report by Deadline, the re-release of Pride & Prejudice was successful, ranking among the top ten films with an earnings of $2.7 million. On the other hand, two fresh entries, The Wedding Banquet and Sneaks, didn’t quite reach the top tier. The Wedding Banquet earned a total of $992,900, while Sneaks grossed $675,000.

As of its second week, the film’s cumulative gross stands at $45.3 million.

In the 20th week, the Amateur film grossed approximately $2.3 million on Friday, marking a 62% drop from its previous day’s earnings. On Saturday, it earned around $2.8 million, and by Sunday, it had brought in $2.1 million. Over the 3-day weekend, it made a total of $7.2 million, representing a 51% decrease compared to its initial week’s earnings. To date, it has generated a total of $27.3 million.

The film has accumulated a total of $11.9 million so far.
