Presently, Dhanush is working on his forthcoming film titled “Idly Kadai,” where he’s also serving as the director. As per the latest news updates, there was a fire incident on the movie’s set while filming took place.
According to ANI’s report, filming was occurring in the Anupapatti village within the Theni district of Tamil Nadu. A detailed movie set had been constructed there, complete with a street filled with stores and homes, which was planned to be utilized during a future shooting session.
Luckily, there were no reports of injuries from the fire incident. Yet, the specific reason behind the fire still remains a mystery. Additionally, the gripping drama movie is jointly produced by Dhanush through his production house, Wunderbar Films.
In the main parts of Idly Kadai are actors Dhanush and Nithya Menen, accompanied by a talented group of supporting players which includes Arun Vijay, Shalini Pandey, Prakash Raj, Sathyaraj, Parthiban, and P. Samuthirakani in significant roles.
The movie, which will be Dhanush’s fourth directorial project, was originally set to premiere on April 10, 2025. However, due to issues with production timelines, it had to be pushed back. Now, the film is planned for a theater release on October 1, 2025.
In this movie, the original score is created by G. V. Prakash Kumar, while Kiran Koushik handles the camera work, and Prasanna GK takes care of the editing.
In terms of his career, actor Dhanush will soon be seen in a social thriller named Kuberaa, directed by Sekhar Kammula. This film is scheduled to hit theaters on June 20, 2025. Alongside Dhanush, Rashmika Mandanna and Nagarjuna Akkineni are also part of the cast. The producers recently launched the movie’s first song, titled Poyivaa Nanba, which was created by Devi Sri Prasad and sung by none other than Dhanush himself.
In the future, you’ll find Dhanush playing the main character in Tere Ishk Mein, alongside Kriti Sanon for the first time on screen. Moreover, he has a couple of exciting projects lined up with directors Rajkumar Periasamy and Mari Selvaraj coming soon.
