DreamWorks Animation‘s “Forgotten Island” will make its big-screen debut on September 25, 2026, as Universal Pictures has announced a theatrical release date for this animated movie.
Joel Crawford and Januel Mercado are slated to pen and helm the upcoming movie. Details about the storyline remain scarce, but it’s been characterized as a wide-ranging, humorous island adventure that transports its characters to an ancient, enchanted island steeped in Philippine folklore. Mark Swift, Crawford’s long-term partner in creative endeavors, is set to produce this film.
Island Forgotten” is set to be Mercado’s debut solo directorial project. Previously, he collaborated as a co-director on the film “Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.” Additionally, he served as the head of story for Crawford’s production, “The Croods: A New Age.
