Universal Pictures has unveiled a sneak peek at the upcoming horror thriller titled “Him,” starring Marlon Wayans from Scary Movie and ex-college football player Tyriq Withers (Atlanta). This film, produced by Jordan Peele, is set to premiere in cinemas on September 19, 2025.

What happens in the Him teaser trailer?
The video presents Withers as an up-and-coming athlete, particularly a quarterback, whose burgeoning career takes an unexpected turn due to a significant injury. Later, with the assistance of a renowned NFL figure, he’s given another opportunity to shine. But when he starts training under his idol, he’ll discover the substantial sacrifices required for fame and success.
This film is helmed by Justin Tipping, based on a screenplay penned by the creators of Limetown, Zack Akers and Skip Bronkie. The ensemble cast includes Julia Fox, Tim Heidecker, Jim Jefferies, Guapdad 4000, and Tierra Whack. Wayans takes on an electrifying dramatic role as a renowned quarterback in this gripping horror-thriller. Ian Cooper, Jordan Peele, Win Rosenfeld, and Jamal M. Watson produce for Monkeypaw Productions, with David Kern and Kate Oh serving as executive producers.
The story revolves around Cameron Cade, a promising football player whose entire life is centered around the sport. As the major scouting event in professional football approaches, Cam encounters a fanatic who inflicts an injury that could end his career. However, just when things seem hopeless, he receives help from Isaiah White, a legendary eight-time championship quarterback and influential figure. Isaiah invites Cam to train with him at his secluded retreat, which he shares with his celebrity wife Elsie. As Cam’s training progresses, Isaiah’s charm starts to reveal a sinister side, leading Cam into a bewildering maze that could cost him more than he initially agreed to give up.
