Recently, Kamal Haasan joined forces with the main team behind Thug Life, launching the movie’s marketing efforts vigorously. At this gathering, the actor playfully joked about his frequent banter with fellow cast member Joju George during filming.
In the spotlight, Kamal Haasan remarked, “I can’t reveal much about the film, but I can assure you that there are two charming ladies featured in this production. Interestingly, no one expresses affection towards me within the movie. The only individual who regularly said ‘I love you, sir’ during filming was Joju George.
Actors such as Kamal Haasan, Trisha Krishnan, Silambarasan TR, and others from Thug Life gathered to debut the film’s first song. Entitled “Jinguchaa,” the track showcases Haasan, Silambarasan, and Sanya Malhotra passionately dancing.

AR Rahman wrote the melody for the song, while Kamal Haasan penned its lyrics; Vaishali Samant, Shakthisree Gopalan, and Adithya RK contributed their vocals to it. The upcoming film, Thug Life, is being promoted as a high-octane gangster action movie, marking the reunion of Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam after a long time.
The movie, jointly penned by a seasoned actor-director, boasts an impressive lineup of stars such as Silambarasan, Trisha Krishnan, Ashok Selvan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Joju George, Abhirami, Nassar, Ali Fazal, and several others in significant roles.
The film is scheduled to premiere on the large screens on June 5, 2025. Ravi K. Chandran will be responsible for the camera work, while Sreekar Prasad will oversee the editing process.
Regarding Kamal Haasan’s upcoming projects, he recently appeared in 2024’s Indian 2, a sequel to his 1996 film of the same name directed by Shankar. In this movie, Haasan takes on his iconic role as the vigilante “Indian” once more.
In the second installment, the protagonist makes a long-awaited comeback, embarking on a quest to rid India of corruption forever. This movie boasts a star-studded cast with stars like Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Vivek, S. J. Suryah, Samuthirakani, Bobby Simha and several others.
Additionally, you should know that the actor is also scheduled to star in an upcoming movie called “KH237,” which is being helmed by the directing team of AnbArivu.
