An almost ready-for-delivery Aston Martin DBR22, autographed by Formula One champion Fernando Alonso, is set to be auctioned off by RM Sotheby’s. This exclusive high-speed vehicle was custom-built by Q by Aston Martin, drawing design influences from 1950s racing icons such as the DBR1 and DB3S. It boasts a powerful 5.2L twin-turbo V12 engine that generates 715 horsepower, with a top speed of 195 miles per hour.
This particular DBR22 model boasts a mere 177 kilometers on its odometer and sports an Aston Martin Racing Green exterior, accentuated by striking AMR Lime details. The exterior features a matte black exhaust, satin center-lock wheels of size 22 inches, and protective film for the paint job. Inside, the cabin showcases Forest Green leather upholstery contrasted with bold AMR Lime stitching, creating a sleek, contemporary motorsport ambiance.
As a gamer, I’d say: “I got this special piece from Aston Martin Hilversum, sporting chassis number 14 – just like Alonso’s race number. The Spanish F1 legend himself signed the dashboard and the accompanying books during his visit to the 2024 Dutch Grand Prix.
For approximately €110,000 worth of custom features and practically brand new state, the DBR22 is expected to sell for up to $2,400,000 USD. This vehicle will be open for bidding starting from April 23, as part of RM Sotheby’s Shift/Monaco: Europe and Middle East online auction.
