An altercation occurred late at night outside a cinema in Warwick, Rhode Island, which escalated severely, resulting in two individuals sustaining stab wounds after watching ‘A Minecraft Movie’.

What happened outside of the Minecraft movie screening?

The event took place on the evening of April 15, 2025, as per a report from ABC6 Providence. According to this report, police in Warwick were dispatched due to reports of a brawl in the parking lot of an Apple Cinemas nearby. Police records indicate that four teenagers, who had been asked to be quiet during the movie, followed three adults out into the parking lot.

As per the police records, the adolescents are said to have attacked three grown-ups, inflicting cuts on them using knives.

People who live in the area where the unexpected incident occurred, the ones who dialed the police, described it as something “unexpectedly happening,” with Warwick resident Marilyn Wade sharing her account of the events.

Wade commented, “I wasn’t entirely sure, but there appeared to be some sort of disturbance nearby. A group of individuals were huddled together, and it didn’t seem like a joyful situation. I’m quite familiar with this neighborhood, as I frequent the shopping mall and cinema here often, and recognize many of the people.
