According to Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios’ Head of Streaming, Television, and Animation, who spoke with The REEL Roundup in February 2025, the filming for season two of Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock / Daredevil series starts next week. He mentioned that this new season should be available approximately a year later, so fans might expect a fresh Daredevil season each year.

It appears that the production on the second season has been moving forward for quite some time now. Recently, Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio (who plays Wilson Fisk / Kingpin) posted updates from the set after the finale was released, hinting that filming for the upcoming season has officially started.

The final episode of Season 1 lays a solid foundation for what’s to come in Season 2. By the end, Fisk and his wife (played by Ayelet Zurer) manage to lock up their adversaries and silence any opposition within their group. As the story wraps up, Matt makes a decision to assemble an army to confront the Fisks. The closing scene after the credits reveals that the Punisher has managed to break free from captivity.
