Monster Hunter Wilds cracked Twitch’s March 2025 Top 10 with 36 million hours viewed

This past month has flown by, and along with it, we’ve got StreamElements’ monthly reports on Twitch statistics. The latest report clearly demonstrated the surge of Monster Hunter Wilds into the Twitch Top 10 after its release on February 28. Marvel Rivals also maintained its presence, but it wasn’t sufficient to prevent a decline in overall daily viewership on Twitch during March 2025 – marking the fourth consecutive year that March has seen a decrease in daily viewership.

This week, StreamElements published its March 2025 State of the Stream report, which includes data from their analytics partner, Rainmaker.gg. In this report, it was revealed that Monster Hunter Wilds made its way into the top 10 most-watched games on Twitch for the month of March. Since its release on February 28, it didn’t impact the previous month, but it capitalized on the entirety of March 2025 and managed to accumulate a remarkable 36 million hours of viewership, earning the #9 spot. Marvel Rivals maintained its presence in the top 10, ending the month with 32 million hours viewed, taking the #10 position.

Although two popular games achieved success and attracted numerous viewers on Twitch in March 2025, amassing tens of millions of hours watched, this wasn’t sufficient to halt the persistent decline in daily viewership. This decrease marks the fourth consecutive year that Twitch has seen a drop in daily viewership from the previous month. StreamElements’ CEO Or Perry attributes this ongoing trend to a scarcity of esports events and significant gaming activities during March, combined with holidays and vacations.

Looking forward to observing how April unfolds for Twitch. Keep an eye on the StreamElements topic for further updates on the State of the Stream reports as they are released.
