Lately, there’s been an abundance of fantastic games to enjoy on the Steam Deck. The critically acclaimed game of 2025 thus far is Blue Prince, and this month also marked the availability of The Last of Us Part 2 on Valve’s handheld device. Regrettably, the opportunity to obtain Metro 2033 for free has expired, but some positive news is that new freebies are now up for grabs from Prime Gaming and the Epic Games store. In fact, Steam Deck users can now claim a handful of highly-rated free games and even more, although keep in mind that the performance of each may differ.

To add to that, to grab the complimentary games for your Steam Deck, it’s recommended to utilize the gratis Heroic Games Launcher. This platform is compatible with GOG, Epic Games, and Amazon Games. Currently, many of the games available might be marked as “playable” instead of “verified” on Valve’s store. This means you can enjoy these games, but there may be some technical issues along the way.
