The executive producer of the hit animated superhero series “Invincible” has given an update about Season 4. He suggests that we might see it in 2026. After the events of Season 3, our protagonist Mark Grayson’s journey continues. Filming is already under progress, voiceovers have been wrapped up, and the team is striving hard to present a quality that surpasses all their previous work.
Simon Racioppa reveals when work began on Invincible Season 4
Simon Racioppa, a formidable executive producer and co-showrunner, shared during the Podvincible podcast that production for Season 4 is indeed underway and appears to be progressing as planned. He stated, “We’re not merely striving to complete Season 4 and call it a day; instead, we are determined to ensure it reaches the pinnacle of quality.” This underscores the team’s dedication to maintaining exceptional standards.
He mentioned that they initiated the scriptwriting for Season 4 while producing Season 3. In other words, they started drafting the scripts for Season 4 in advance, hoping it would be approved, as he explained. Furthermore, just like they worked simultaneously on Seasons 2 and 3, they also began developing both Seasons 3 and 4 at the same time.
Racioppa shared that each new season strives for advancement over the previous one, focusing on refinements in narrative, direction, and action. “We always aim to do better,” he said, adding that this progression is evident in the evolution of characters like Eve, who has noticeably changed since Season 102. “She’s not exactly the same as she was then, and it’s enjoyable to leverage her character’s history to create a more intricate version of her,” he explained.
By March 2025, Robert Kirkman, the series creator, confirmed that the team is actively working towards completing Season 4. He also mentioned their intention to shorten the duration between each season. Kirkman hinted that future seasons would not experience the significant delay encountered between Seasons 1 and 2.
Amazon Prime Video officially announced that Season 4 will debut in 2026. They’ve already finished recording the voices for it. While a specific date hasn’t been set yet, the schedule indicates an early release in 2026, possibly around February, similar to when Season 3 premiered.
Kirkman himself showed enthusiasm for extending the series over a longer period. He mentioned that the team aims to create “at least 11 seasons,” though this could potentially increase if Amazon provides continued support.
