In most Ninja Gaiden series games, particularly the 3D ones like Ninja Gaiden 2: Black, the Black Spider Clan has consistently been at odds with Ryu Hayabusa and the Dragon Clan. Yet, in the upcoming title Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound from Game Kitchen, we’ll be controlling a member of the Black Spider Clan instead – Kumori, an assassin assigned to this secretive organization. The plot suggests that her journey intertwines with Kenji, a new Dragon ninja, as they band together to battle the malevolent forces haunting the demon realm.
This week, The Game Kitchen unveiled Kumori as a fresh playable character in their upcoming game, showcasing her in a new trailer. In the video, we were introduced to Kumori and witnessed a sneak peek of her skills being utilized. She exhibits remarkable speed and agility, capable of launching multiple projectiles or enhancing her projectiles and attacks with the Black Spider’s power as she swiftly navigates past enemies.
It’s intriguing that at some stage, Kumori and Kenshi team up using an unusual method, which appears to transform one into a spirit while the other engages in combat. As a spectral ally, either Kumori or Kenshi can offer assistance with diverse attacks when the main character requires it. Furthermore, it seems we can alternate between them during specific game sections or unleash incredibly potent moves using their combined abilities.
