Marion won’t make an appearance until the end of the current season, according to what Heldens mentioned. He explained that the intricate plotline and heavy workload of the series are keeping Marion out of sight. It’s ironic, as when they began Season 3, they thought 18 episodes was their biggest challenge yet, but upon finishing, they realized they didn’t have enough space for all the characters.

In the premiere of Season 3, Rodriguez made her appearance as Marion, portrayed initially as an assistant district attorney. As the season progressed, a growing romantic interest unfolded between her and Wilbur “Will” Trent, played by Ramón Rodríguez. Their first date took place in Episode 6. Unfortunately, their relationship faced difficulties in Episode 12. Marion was present in Episode 13 but skipped the following one that aired on April 15, 2025.

In a recent announcement, it was confirmed that Will Trent Season 4 is on the horizon, and according to Heldens, there’s a possibility that Marion may return. Heldens expressed her admiration for Gina Rodriguez, stating that she brings a spark to the screen, and we can’t get enough of her. Working with her was a delight, and Heldens mentioned that she wouldn’t be surprised if Rodriguez reappears in Season 4.
