Mohanlal has just revealed that the popular crime-thriller series Drishyam will make a comeback with its third edition. The anticipation among fans for this project has been noticeable, and it’s now being reported that the upcoming film might be produced in not one but two languages.
The Mid-Day report indicates that Drishyam 3, directed by Mohanlal again, is expected to be made in both Hindi and Malayalam. Insiders claim that the film by Jeethu Joseph will be a bilingual production this time, aiming for nationwide recognition across India.
In contrast, the upcoming third installment of Drishyam might be produced in Hindi, and this could present an obstacle for the Hindi adaptations of the series, as they have thus far starred Ajay Devgn prominently.
The Hindi remake of the crime thriller became successful partially due to the original Malayalam version not being released in any other language, starring Mohanlal. If they make a bilingual film next, it’s uncertain if Ajay Devgn’s adaptation will maintain its success.
Regardless, these rumors have yet to be verified since neither the production team nor the filmmakers have issued an official comment about a dual-language version of the movie.
Regarding Drishyam 3, it was officially unveiled by Mohanlal, together with the director and producer, at a previous point in time.
As per a special report from TopMob, it’s been confirmed that Ajay Devgn will star in Drishyam 3. Insiders involved in the project reveal that Ajay has given his nod to the script, collaborating once more with director Abhishek Pathak.
