Wendy’s has ignited discussion on social media by posting a series of witty remarks aimed at Katy Perry. These comments stem from Perry’s recent journey into space with Blue Origin. As a result, many people are eager to find out what exactly Wendy’s said about the pop star.
What did Wendy’s tweet about Katy Perry?
Online, Wendy’s caused a stir by making playful and sarcastic comments about Katy Perry’s short trip to space with Blue Origin. They shared several posts mocking her space voyage.
After Perry came back, Pop Crave wrote, “Katy Perry is back from space,” accompanied by a picture of her in a spacesuit. Wendy’s official Twitter account responded with, “Should we send her away again?” This comment led to widespread reactions on social media. The teasing didn’t stop there. When a photo was shared of Perry kissing the ground upon landing, Wendy’s Twitter account retweeted it with the caption, “I kissed the ground and I liked it,” which was a reference to her 2008 hit single.
When another user made a joke about Perry’s lyrics, Wendy responded by saying, “Now she understands the feeling of being a plastic bag drifting in the wind,” alluding to the beginning of her song “Firework.” She then added, “When we talked about women in STEM, this isn’t what we had in mind.
The humor deepened as someone pointed out that Perry had spent just ten minutes in space. Wendy quickly set them straight, “Give her her due, it was actually eleven minutes.” Another chimed in, “Nice one, Wendy,” to which they responded playfully, “I may be a woman, but send me to space.
As a dedicated follower, I’ve noticed that opinions about the brand’s commentary have been quite diverse. Some fans, including myself, found their humor refreshing and appreciated it, while others felt the posts were overly critical.
Perry became a member of a team consisting of Gayle King, Lauren Sánchez, Aisha Bowe, Amanda Nguyen, and Kerianne Flynn. This six-woman squad was part of an all-female mission, the first in more than half a century, initiated by Jeff Bezos’s company Blue Origin. The journey spanned approximately 11 minutes.
