Players of Monster Hunter Wilds have been experiencing (and enduring) the game’s first title update for some time, together with all the fresh additions that came along. One of these new features was Challenge Quests, where hunters were tasked with locating and eliminating various monsters in an attempt to achieve the fastest kill time. To make things more exciting, leaderboards were incorporated to boost players’ sense of achievement even further.

Unfortunately, much like in any online game’s leaderboard, cheaters swiftly appeared with seemingly impossible completion times, including one individual who claimed a zero-second finish. It’s disappointing because, while it wouldn’t be so detrimental if there were no rewards for achieving certain times, Monster Hunter Wildspuriously gave out prizes to those who made the top 10,000 in the Challenge Quest rankings.

Absolutely, that’s a significant number of participants, but having so many potential cheaters in the mix wasn’t helping those striving for success. Fortunately, to address the game’s cheating issue, Capcom has announced they will be modifying how Challenge Quest rewards are distributed.

Monster Hunter Wilds Is Making It Easier To Obtain Challenge Quest Rewards

Moving forward with the current Hollow quest known as Doshaguma, players are no longer required to reach a top 10,000 position to obtain the Mark of Mastery pendant. Instead, they simply need to earn an A rank for this reward. Additionally, the Mark of Bravery and Marok of Contest pendants can now be obtained by merely participating in the quest. This change will also apply to all Challenge Quests and Free Challenge Quests in the future as well.

Capcom is making adjustments to ensure every player gets a fair shot at collecting event rewards. They are looking over Arena Quests and Challenge Quests completion times at present. If any players are found to be cheating, penalties like suspensions or bans will follow. While it’s not a foolproof method, this change increases your chances of getting the prizes you desire.
