Blanchett expressed, “My family often finds my statements amusing, but I genuinely mean it when I say I’m serious about leaving acting behind. There are numerous aspirations I have for my life.” She added, “When I appear on a talk show or here now, and later see quotes from me emphasized, they can seem overly dramatic. I’m not that person. I express myself better through action – it’s been a while since I’ve felt at ease with being photographed.

She went on to say, “I’ve often felt on the outskirts of things, so it always catches me off guard when I find myself fitting in somewhere. I approach any setting with curiosity, not assuming that I will be accepted or welcomed. Over time, I’ve grown accustomed to feeling uneasy.
