Silent Night, Deadly Night Reboot Cast Finds Its Billy Chapman

As a gaming enthusiast, I’m thrilled to hop aboard the bandwagon of excitement because a familiar face from “Halloween Ends” is set to star in the revamped version of “Silent Night, Deadly Night” over at Cineverse! Guess who’ll be stepping into the boots of Billy Chapman? Yours truly! Can’t wait to dive deep into this chilling role and share the chills with you all.

Last year, it became known that Terrifier outfit Cineverse secured worldwide rights for the remake of the controversial ’80s cult horror film, initially met with offense upon its 1984 release. The original holiday slasher, titled “The Town That Dreaded Halloween,” was helmed by Charles E. Sellier Jr. and featured Robert Brian Wilson in the role of Billy Chapman.

Who’s the new Billy Chapman in Silent Night, Deadly Night reboot cast?

In a forthcoming remake of “Silent Night, Deadly Night,” Rohan Campbell, known for his role as Corey Cunningham in this year’s Halloween Ends, is set to take on the Santa Claus character. Emerging as a potential Scream King, Campbell was last seen in Osgood Perkins’ dark comedy horror film titled The Monkey.

In addition to his role in Campbell’s film, he has also appeared in various productions such as The Right Kind of Wrong, The Valley Below, Diablo, Boundaries, Operation Christmas Drop, Mech-X4, iZombie, Snowpiercer, and The Hardy Boys, among several others.

The 1984 movie “Silent Night, Deadly Night” revolves around Billy, whose chilling transformation into a ruthless murderer was triggered by witnessing his parents’ gruesome murder on Christmas Eve at the hands of a man dressed as Santa Claus. Growing up in an orphanage failed to help him deal with his parents’ death, leading to his mental distress and eventual breakdown on another Christmas day.

Known as one of the most contentious 80s horror films ever made, “Silent Night, Deadly Night” had a brief run in cinemas because it was withdrawn following a coordinated protest by parents who deemed the slasher inappropriate and objectionable.

The remake will be penned and overseen by Mike P. Nelson (known for Wrong Turn and V/H/S/85), with Scott Schneid and Dennis Whitehead, who were also involved in the original production, serving as producers alongside Jamie R. Thompson. Other producers include Jamie R. Thompson, Erik Bernard, and Jeremy Torrie. Steven Schneider (Insidious) and Anthony Masi (Halloween: 25 Years of Terror) will be executive producers for this project.
