Perry teams up with five other females for this venture: Lauren Sánchez, Gayle King, Amanda Nguyen, Kerianne Flynn, and Aisha Bowe. As a collective, they form the “Taking Up Space” team, marking the first all-female space mission since 1963. This expedition is an aspect of Blue Origin’s New Shepard program, making it the 11th human flight and the 31st launch for this project.
