There’s buzz that Chris Brown and actress Karrueche Tran might be back together romantically, sparking curiosity among fans. They started dating in 2011, having periods of reconciliation followed by breakups, until Tran decided to part ways in the mid-2010s.

At the 2025 Coachella festival, a video surfaced showing me hanging out with Tran and Taylor. The internet’s been buzzing about us possibly rekindling our relationship. But neither Tran nor I have spoken up yet, so it’s all just speculation for now.

In an interview on The Wendy Williams Show, Tran discussed her initial encounter with Brown. “I first came across Chris while working as a personal assistant to a stylist,” she explained. “During this job, we crossed paths. He charmed his way into my life, and our bond began as a friendship, stemming from our professional relationship.” Tran went on to clarify that their relationship didn’t turn intimate at the start. Later, she admitted to being swept off her feet by Brown’s charm, developing romantic feelings for him over time. (Source: E! News)

In 2017, Tran petitioned the court in Santa Monica for a restraining order against Brown, which was granted. This meant that Brown was instructed to keep a minimum distance of around 100 yards from Tran and some individuals close to her.

For five years, the restraining order was active but is now no longer valid. It’s uncertain if they communicated prior to their encounter at Coachella, as mentioned earlier.

Tran is known for having relationships with rapper Quavo from Migos and ex-NFL player Victor Cruz, while Brown had a turbulent romance with singer Rihanna from 2007 to 2009. This ended in a domestic violence incident that resulted in Brown being given five years of probation. Afterwards, Brown and Rihanna briefly rekindled their relationship before splitting up again in 2013. Additionally, Brown dated model Jasmine Sanders.
