Pawan Kalyan’s wife Anna Lezhneva shaves off her head as she visits Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple in Tirumala

Pawan Kalyan’s wife, Anna Lezhneva, made a trip to Tirumala to receive blessings at Lord Venkateswara. This journey came as her son Mark Shankar recovers from injuries sustained in a school fire accident. Photos of Anna, who recently shaved her head, have been widely shared on social media. The official Twitter page of Pawan Kalyan’s party, Jana Sena Party, posted a picture with the caption stating that Anna donated her hair after her temple visit.

As per an article in Gulte, it’s stated that Pawan Kalyan’s wife similarly endorsed a religious pledge, often signed by individuals who are not Hindu when they visit the Tirumala shrine. This traditionally applies to non-Hindus visiting this significant Hindu temple. The pledge form symbolizes her complete trust and authorization to receive the blessings of Lord Venkateswara.

For those unfamiliar, there are several motives behind shaving one’s head during a visit to Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple. Many worshippers make a vow (mokku), a pledge to donate their hair as a token of thanks if a wish or prayer is granted by the Lord. It’s also a method of expressing gratitude for the blessings received. Furthermore, many devotees bathe, shave their heads, and then go to seek blessings, feeling spiritually rejuvenated in the process.
