Who is actor Sri?

Sri, also known as Shriram Natarajan, is a well-known Indian actor recognized in Tamil film industry. During his studies at Alpha Arts and Science College and later Loyola College, he started his acting career with the TV series “Kana Kaanum Kaalangal” on STAR Vijay.

Despite not securing a part in Kalloori (2007) at first, he eventually got cast in Balaji Sakthivel’s highly praised Vazhakku Enn 18/9 (2012). In order to portray his character authentically, he studied the daily life of people residing in Ramapuram prior to filming. The movie went on to win numerous accolades, including a National Award.

He chose to be picky about scripts and declined several acting opportunities, one of which was a role in the movie “Soodhu Kavvum”. His second film, “Onaayum Aattukkuttiyum” (2013), directed by Mysskin, received praise from critics. Unfortunately, his subsequent films, “Soan Papdi” (2015) and “Vil Ambu” (2016), didn’t perform well at the box office.

2017 saw him take the lead role in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s film titled “Maanagaram.” This production turned out to be successful on both the critical and commercial fronts. Later, for a brief stint, Sri participated in Bigg Boss Tamil but had to withdraw early.
