Bella Thorne claims that actor Mickey Rourke behaved inappropriately during filming of a movie they both starred in, stating that it was one of the most difficult and unpleasant acting experiences she’s ever had due to him.

On Friday, Thorne posted several messages on social media, where she shared an article about Rourke’s recent insensitive remarks towards JoJo Siwa on Celebrity Big Brother UK. Overlaying the image, Thorne penned a lengthy comment expressing her disgust at Rourke, recalling an incident from the 2020 thriller Girl that made her feel very uneasy.

In her Instagram post, Thorne expressed her discomfort by saying, “What a disgusting individual.” She went on to explain that she had to collaborate with this man in a scene where she was on her knees, her hands tied behind her back. Instead of using the prop metal grinder on her knee cap as scripted, he reportedly used it on her genitals through her jeans, causing repeated blows and resulting in pelvic bone bruises. Working with Mickey, according to Thorne, was one of the most harrowing experiences she has had during her acting career.

Later on another post on X, following her initial Instagram Story, Thorne went into further detail about the mistreatment she claims Rourke subjected her to. This includes an incident where Thorne stated that he deliberately dirtied her to embarrass her, pleading with him to complete scenes, and various other instances.

As a gamer navigating through an unforgiving production set, I was forced to endure a barrage of degrading ordeals at the hands of this enigmatic figure. The climax of his on-screen antics involved him intentionally speeding up and revving his engine, dousing me in a cloud of dirt. It felt like he found humor in humiliating me, exposing me to the entire crew.

Alone, I was compelled to visit his trailer, as he stubbornly refused to communicate with the director or producers. This left me with no choice but to persuade him to fulfill his duties, all while he barked out bizarre demands for the production team. In essence, I begged him, isolated in his private domain. The fate of the movie hung in the balance; if he didn’t show up, all our efforts would have been for naught. Reluctantly, I complied with the task, sacrificing my comfort to ensure the success of the film. Mickey should never have placed any of us in such precarious positions as he did.

To clarify, a spokesperson for Rourke dismissed the accusations and recognized their gravity, as reported to Variety.

The accusations made against Mr. Rourke are very grave. He firmly maintains that he did not intentionally engage in any misconduct. Throughout the filming process, he wasn’t informed about these concerns and was unaware of Miss Thorne’s unease until recently.
