In the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Kat Dennings portrays Darcy Lewis. This character first appeared on screen in 2011’s Thor and continued to appear in Thor: The Dark World (2013), WandaVision (2021), and Thor: Love and Thunder (2022). Furthermore, variations of the character have been seen in the animated What If…? series set in different universes.

On Instagram, Dennings shared a hilarious story about how she forgot that she was part of the MCU.
She said, “I visited the Avengers Campus at Disneyland, and there, people were waving at me. Honestly, I can’t recall the reason.

Darcy Lewis, a unique character tailored exclusively for the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), first emerged in the Scarlet Witch comic book series penned by Steve Orlando and illustrated by Sara Pichelli, debuting in 2023.
Orlando explained through Polygon that “this version of the character, 616, maintains the same kind of insights but also blends perfectly with Scarlet Witch and the magical aspect of Marvel Universe. Darcy serves to gently poke fun at the comic book absurdities we appreciate, particularly in a character like Thor. Wanda converses casually about an unusual life that is normal for her, yet if you examine her family background and actions, it can appear quite mysterious. In essence, Darcy represents the audience’s voice in the same way Kat Dennings’ character does.
There’s been no news yet about whether or not Dennings will appear in future Marvel Studios productions. Given her roles in three Thor films, it seems likely that she might be involved in a possible fifth movie, although as of now, there’s no official word on Thor 5.
