2022 saw the announcement of an intriguing narrative adventure titled “The Alters” by 11 bit studios, which revolves around significant choices and parallel worlds. Now, we have learned when this game is slated to arrive. This week, a new trailer for The Alters was released, along with its planned launch date in June 2025 on both PCs and consoles.
11 Bit Studios unveiled the newest glimpse of The Alters during this week’s Triple-I Initiative 2025 Showcase. In this event, we discovered that The Alters will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on June 13, 2025. Additionally, we were treated to an updated view of the gameplay within the game.
In The Alters, we portray the character Jan – a survivor who finds himself stranded in a scientific facility that crashed onto an enigmatic planet. To stay alive, Jan devises multiple iterations of himself based on various choices he makes, which result in divergent storylines. These decisions, whether instantaneous or momentous, shape the outcomes and the narrative as they unfold, resulting in numerous potential scenarios. What sets this apart is that these Jans coexist within the same space and can interact with each other, sometimes beneficially, others detrimentally. Additionally, we delve into the aspects of venturing beyond the facility to gather resources and steer clear of hazards on the alien planet.
