Kannappa: Vishnu Manchu, Akshay Kumar, Prabhas starrer delayed due to unfinished VFX; film gets a new release date

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I’m thrilled to share an update on the highly anticipated mythological drama by Vishnu Manchu, titled Kannappa. Originally slated for release in April 2025, a slight adjustment has been made due to some uncompleted visual effects work. However, the buzz surrounding this masterpiece is once again stirring, as recent reports hint at a new potential launch date. Stay tuned for more updates!

As per movie analyst Taran Adarsh’s reports, the release date for the film “Kannappa” has been set as June 27, 2025. The creators of this historical action drama made this announcement during a special gathering with the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.

Regardless, we’re yet to hear an official statement from the creators that will officially reveal the revised launch date.

For those unfamiliar, the excitement for the movie “Kannappa” has escalated considerably because of the notable guest appearances, such as Akshay Kumar, Prabhas, Mohanlal, and Kajal Aggarwal. Each of these actors is portraying significant roles that will play a pivotal part in the movie’s plot.

On March 29th, Vishnu Manchu and the production team revealed that the release date for Kannappa would be postponed due to delays in completing some essential visual effects (VFX) scenes. They communicated this in an official statement.

In my line of work, I always appreciate the genuine dedication and camaraderie within the film industry. Speaking from experience, during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, our fellow artist Vishnu Manchu shared some heartwarming news: neither Mohanlal nor Prabhas accepted a fee for their cameos in Kannappa. It’s truly inspiring to witness such generosity and unity among talented individuals like these two stars!

He mentioned that neither Prabhas nor Sir Mohanlal required any persuasion. They were more than willing to film at any time, and they did so out of affection for his father.
