The Last of Us Season 3 Set at HBO Ahead of Season 2 Release, Creators Give Statement

The Last of Us Season 3 has been officially greenlit at HBO.

In January 2023, the television series The Last of Us, which is based on a well-known video game series by Naughty Dog, was released. This show was developed by Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann, with Pedro Pascal portraying Joel Miller and Bella Ramsey as Ellie.

On Sunday, April 13th, at 9 p.m. Eastern Time (ET) or Pacific Time (PT), The Last of Us Season 2 will make its debut on HBO and Max. In all, there will be a total of seven episodes in this season.

HBO has confirmed that The Last of Us will continue with Season 3, even before the debut of Season 2. As of now, no specific release date for Season 3 has been disclosed. Take a look at the teaser trailer below for additional information (for further trailers and clips):

Alongside Pascal and Ramsey, The Last of Us Season 2 features Gabriel Luna portraying Tommy, Rutina Wesley stepping into the role of Maria, Kaitlyn Dever taking on Abby, Isabela Merced playing Dina, Young Mazino cast as Jesse, Ariela Barer given the part of Mel, Tati Gabrielle as Nora, Spencer Lord as Owen, Danny Ramirez as Manny, Jeffrey Wright joining as Isaac, and Catherine O’Hara appearing in an unspecified character.

Five years later since the incidents from the initial season, Joel and Ellie find themselves embroiled in a confrontation and a world that is both hostile and full of unexpected perils, surpassing the challenges they had encountered before.
