Amazon MGM Studios is getting down to the business of Bond.
At CinemaCon, an annual event for theater owners held in Las Vegas, it was revealed by Courtenay Valenti, head of Film, Streaming, and Theatrical, and Sue Kroll, global marketing chief, that Amy Pascal and David Heyman are currently working on a new 007 project in London. This long-awaited development was reported by Deadline.
Following the acquisition for creative rights, Amazon MGM has recruited them to develop the upcoming James Bond film.
Progress on the Bond project significantly advanced following a deal struck in February with seasoned James Bond producers and creative leads Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli. They graciously gave up management of the iconic spy series, allowing the fresh owners to take charge instead.
