T Doomsday. Recently, Lenore Zann, who plays Rogue in X-Men ’97, has openly expressed her support for this idea, urging Marvel Studios through social media to make it a reality.

Lenore Zann says Avengers: Doomsday and X-Men ’97’s crossover

Actress Lenore Zann, who has caused some controversy in the past, posted on social media (previously Twitter) expressing her hope that Marvel Studios would turn rumors into reality by featuring their animated heroes in Avengers: Doomsday. She shared an image from Instagram discussing this possibility and wrote, “Wouldn’t it be great if [X-Mentas] were to appear? Marvel Studios, could you please make this happen?

It’s worth mentioning that Zann was the voice behind Rogue in X-Men: The Animated Series, which originally aired on Fox Kids Network from 1992 to 1997. This series has since been rebooted as X-Men ’97.

In March 2025, The Cosmic Circus suggested that Marvel Studios might feature their animated characters in Avengers: Doomsday, with mutants and supporting characters from X-Men ’97 among the possibilities. The publication hinted at Marvel Studios considering the integration of characters from its animated series into Doomsday, preserving their animated styles and the unique universes they inhabit. Thus, fan favorites like Zann’s Rogue, Ray Chase’s Cyclops, Jennifer Hale’s Jean Grey, Alison Sealy-Smith’s Storm, Cal Dodd as Wolverine, and others could potentially contribute to Doomsday’s storyline within the movie.

By late March, Marvel revealed more than 25 actors set to feature in Doomsday. Interestingly, no members of the voice cast from X-Men ’97 were listed, but it’s possible they could still be involved in the plot. It seems that filming for Doomsday is due to start this month, and if Marvel Studios decides to include characters like Zann, they might do so during the post-production phase, should these characters indeed appear in animated form.

Avengers: Doomsday will come out in U.S. theaters on May 1, 2026.
