This revised sentence maintains the original meaning while using natural and easy-to-read language.
Fighting Tempered Mizutsune in Monster Hunter Wilds is generally considered one of the toughest battles, but locating this elusive monster first might prove challenging due to its infrequent appearances, unlike other monsters.
As a dedicated fan, I can tell you that the elusive Tempered Mizutsune doesn’t show up in the Wounded Hollow, adding an extra layer of challenge to its pursuit. Unlike many other monsters that roam various regions, this aquatic beast seems to be confined to the Scarlet Forest. Though it’s not classified as an Apex Monster, Mizutsune exhibits behaviors reminiscent of one. Interestingly, there are strategies to ensure its consistent appearance in the Scarlet Forest.
Here’s an overview of the Tempered Mizutsune in Monster Hunter World, along with tips on how to start its Investigation quest:
1. First, you need to complete the main storyline and reach Hunter Rank (HR) 4 or higher.
2. Next, head to the Elder’s Recess or Coral Highlands, where you can find Mizutsune roaming around.
3. Once you encounter a Mizutsune, engage it in combat and defeat it to collect its materials.
4. After defeating Mizutsune, you must return to Astera and speak with the Research Commissioner or Elder Meloidora.
5. They will then give you an Investigation quest for a Tempered Mizutsune.
6. Complete this special quest to get the opportunity to hunt the tempered version of Mizutsune, which is a more challenging variant of the monster.
How To Unlock Tempered Mizutsune in Monster Hunter Wilds?
The Mizutsune monster can be encountered at random in the Scarlet Forest, often during periods of Inclemency. To face this creature in the overworld, you must first finish the side quest called “Spirit in the Moonlight,” where you’ll learn about Mizutsune. After successfully defeating Mizutsune, its tempered version may appear randomly within the Scarlet Forest region.
To confront Mizutsune successfully, it’s essential that you first advance to Hunter Rank (HR) 24. Although Mizutsune can be encountered at HR 24, it is suggested to face it at HR 40, following the completion of the High Rank campaign. This will grant you a wider range of equipment choices for the battle.
To add on, while Mizutsune becomes available at HR 24, it’s important to note that the formidable Tempered Mizutsune can only be found in the overworld once you reach HR 40 and finish the High Rank campaign. Once these prerequisites are met, you stand a chance to encounter the challenging Tempered Mizutsune within the Scarlet Forest. Similar to other tempered creatures, Mizutsune has three different tempered versions, each with varying degrees of strength – the 3-star, 4-star, and 5-star variants.
How To Get the Tempered Mizutsune Investigation?
Just like with other investigations in Monster Hunter Wilds, there isn’t a strict guideline for acquiring the Tempered Mizutsune Investigation. However, during our testing of the update, we discovered some conditions that seemed to cause the monster to appear frequently. Interestingly enough, the weather and time conditions of ‘Plenty’ and ‘Inclemency’ tend to yield the most consistent results for spawning the Tempered Mizutsune.
It appears that Daytime is the most consistent period for Tempered Mizutsune to spawn. To achieve this, you should rest at the Base Camp in Scarlet Forest and adjust the time and weather to either Inclemency-Daytime or Plenty-Daytime.
As a devoted fan, I can’t wait to share my experience! After giving this process a go a few times, you’ll likely spot a Tempered Mizutsune gracing your map. It’s strongly advised to tackle the associated Investigation at least once and save it for future farming. This 8-star Tempered Investigation is no different from others; conquering the Tempered Mizutsune will not only net you the monster’s components but also precious Rarity 8 Artian Parts. Happy hunting!
