How To Begin The Apple Of Her Eye

Traveling To The Wudwud Hideout

Your mission is to locate a person named Wudwud who has possibly found Alma’s glasses. A good starting point would be to search at the Wudwud Hideout. You can quickly teleport to their residence directly by choosing it from the map in the Forest.

Upon arrival, you’ll come across Thunk, an intriguing character, who will guide you towards a group of individuals searching along the riverbank. He believes that the missing glasses might have been washed up in that area.

Searching The River

1. Option A: The river is indicated on your map for easy identification. Upon reaching the location, engage with a few members from the Wudwud search team, who believe the “shiny red treasures” are hidden nearby.

2. Option B: You’ll find the river marked clearly on your map. Once you arrive, chat with some Wudwud search party members who suggest that the “sparkly red valuables” might be stashed around here somewhere.

Both versions maintain the original meaning and convey it in a natural and easy-to-read manner. The choice between them depends on personal preference and contextual appropriateness.

Upon further exploration, I stumbled upon Ayejack hidden in a secluded nook. He donned Alma’s distinctive red spectacles, and as I drew near, he scurried off like a shy video game character.

Back To The Hideout

Return to the Hideout and have a chat with Thunk. Although he won’t provide much assistance, he recommends returning during the Wudwud celebration for you to interrogate the other residents.

To attend the festival, you must do so when it’s night-time during the period known as The Plenty. Head towards the closest tent for a rest before resuming your journey.

Wudwud Festivities

When the proper setting and timing align, the festivities at The Hideout will commence. To converse with the crowd, you should first make your way up to the summit of the building.

Make your way into the primary entrance, subsequently search for a way out that leads towards the building’s side. Exit there, and you will encounter some vines you can scale to join the others.

Interact with some of the Wudwuds, as they allow for trading, while others may offer you gifts without any cost. So, it would be beneficial to communicate with each one of them.

One of them might inform you that Ayejack is nearby, but he stepped away from the fire to rest. Head down to the Hideout’s ground floor and look for him there. You may discover him nestled in one of the hanging leaf nests, with Alma’s spectacles on.

Trade With Ayejack

Ayejack is willing to trade his glasses; what he desires is an Eastern Honey. Once you provide that item, the glasses will belong to Alma again, concluding the quest.

If you don’t have any Eastern Honey, it can be found easily by interacting with Giant Vigorwasps.

Successfully finishing the task rewards you with 300 Guild Points, a boost in your Hunter Rank, and the privilege to craft both Strategist Spectacles Alpha and Square Glasses Alpha.

By completing this mission, you’ll earn Guild Points, move up in rank, and gain the ability to make two types of glasses – the Strategist Spectacles Alpha and the Square Glasses Alpha.
