Childhood
I, born and raised in the vibrant city of Stockholm, Sweden on the 5th of October, 1969, proudly hold a mixed heritage. My roots trace back to the resilient Scandinavian lineage on my mother’s side, while my father’s ancestors hail from the diverse and dynamic African-American culture.
It’s said that the person from Stockholm has an older half-sister named Tamika Hendrix, who was born from his father’s earlier relationship.
It’s said that at age 32, Daniel identified as a different gender and started going by the name Nicole Hendrix. Although he hasn’t publicly addressed these reports, his mother has confirmed that there was a change in his identity.
Parents
Daniel’s parents were Eva Sundquist and Jimi Hendrix, the renowned American musician, songwriter, and guitarist who sadly passed away.
Marshall is widely recognized as a pivotal figure in the history of rock music’s electric guitar, with his name frequently associated with some of the greatest musicians from the 20th century.
Marshall is known as one of the best electric guitar players in rock music history and he’s also very famous among musicians who were active during the 100 years between 1900 and 2000.
In a short span of just four years, James Daniel Sundquist’s dad achieved considerable success in the popular music scene by producing three chart-topping studio albums. Some of his most famous songs include Red House, Angel, If 6 Were 9, and Little Wing.
He garnered several accolades for his exceptional work, among them being the esteemed Lifetime Achievement Award and enshrinement in the prestigious Native American Music Halls of Fame.
Conversely, Jimi’s mom, Eva Sundquist, hailed from Sweden. Fate brought them together in 1968, on a tram in Stockholm, where Jimi was performing with his band during their tour.
In January 1969, when the band came back to Stockholm, a romantic connection blossomed between the two individuals. Their short-lived relationship led to the birth of James Daniel Sundquist in subsequent months.
In the year 1970, on September 18th, Jimi Hendrix tragically passed away at the age of 27 in London. His death was due to an accident caused by excessive alcohol consumption and overuse of sleeping pills, which led to him accidentally inhaling his own vomit and suffocating.
Jimi Hendrix planned to meet his son in Stockholm in 1970, but sadly, he passed away before he could fulfill his plans.
James Daniel Sundquist is often recognized due to his strong resemblance to a popular musician. Moreover, he carries the distinctive African-Cherokee traits that were passed down from his father.
Career
It seems that Daniel doesn’t share much about his professional life and gives the impression of living a secluded existence. However, based on recent accounts, it is said that during his time as a university student, he established a tech firm.
Daniel took legal action against his late grandfather Al Hendrix, claiming ownership of the substantial estate valued at more than $30 million that belonged to the renowned musician.
In 1994, Daniel’s legal case in the Superior Court of Los Angeles was unsuccessful. Since there was no DNA test conducted to confirm his relationship with the musician as his son, he ultimately failed in his court dispute.
Although a Swedish court in 1975 declared Jimi Hendrix as Daniel’s father based on non-genetic evidence, it was ultimately Al Hendrix, Jimi Hendrix’s biological father, who inherited James Daniel Sundquist’s estate.
