Centering around three main characters – Saravanan, Kumudha, and Arjun – this sports-themed film delves into their individual challenges and personal conflicts they need to conquer.

Saravanan, also known as Sara, is a scientist who earned his degree from MIT in Boston, harboring aspirations to develop a groundbreaking hydrofuel that could supplant conventional energy resources. Regrettably, he encounters substantial hurdles in realizing this dream due to financial constraints and insufficient backing.

In the midst of their hardships, Kumudha (portrayed by Nayanthara) yearns for a child but is disheartened by her husband’s seeming abandonment of his project. As she experiences difficulties in trying to conceive, she grows more and more aggravated by Saravanan’s apparent indifference towards their family aspirations.

Ultimately, Arjun Balakrishnan, previously mentored by Kumudha’s dad, finds himself grappling with a unique set of difficulties as his team role grows tenuous. In an attempt to maintain his spot on the roster, he feels compelled to take drastic actions.

Under mounting pressure, Saravanan, feeling cornered, resorts to kidnapping Arjun’s son as a last resort. He then blackmails Arjun, threatening to keep the child unless Arjun intentionally loses the approaching Test match against Pakistan. Motivated by his desire to safeguard his own future and that of his spouse, Saravanan seeks to control the situation and instigate a match-rigging plot.

At first, Saravanan employs dubious tactics to obtain financing, providing a fleeting sense of joy to his spouse. However, as avarice creeps in, he slides deeper into questionable behavior, pressuring Arjun to lose the cricket match against Pakistan in return for safeguarding Saravanan’s son.

In an unexpected move, Arjun resists, causing Saravanan’s anger to boil over into fury. On the brink of madness, Kumudha intervenes stealthily and whacks Saravanan with a cricket bat, thereby halting his harmful schemes.
