The universe of Monster Hunter Wilds expands with every game update, bringing in fresh monsters, quests, and exploration areas. At times, it’s a combination of all three, as shown by Title Update 1 – an illustration of the rich updates that both newcomers and veteran players crave within the franchise.
One significant improvement that greatly enhances the gameplay of Monster Hunter Wilds is the Grand Hub. To gain access to this hub, there are certain prerequisites you must meet beforehand. Knowing these conditions will help you unlock it and enjoy its benefits.
How to Unlock the Grand Hub in Monster Hunter Wilds
To gain entry to the Grand Hub in Monster Hunter Wilds, players must make sufficient advancement first. Unlocking the Grand Hub involves attaining a specific rank, specifically Hunter Rank 16. You can effortlessly achieve this by finishing your story-linked tasks, additional quests, investigations, and so on.
As you advance in your Hunter’s journey and increase your rank, you may encounter temporary barriers known as soft caps. These soft caps are removed by finishing specific missions within the game’s narrative. For instance, at Hunter Rank 15, you can break through this barrier by accomplishing the tasks from Chapter 4-2. Following that, the next soft cap will appear at Hunter Rank 20, and so on until the story reaches its end.
Once you get to HR 16, make your way to Suja – Peaks of Harmony, then search for Tetsuzan. You’ll notice he wants to speak with you when you check the region’s menu. Look for him in the tent area atop the hill to your right, often found next to Poogie while resting. After speaking with him, you’ll be notified that the Grand Hub is now accessible.
How to Travel to the Grand Hub in Monster Hunter Wilds

When it comes to reaching the Grand Hub, you’ve got two options. However, one is likely to be more convenient than the other.
Begin at your campsite, then head towards Suja. You will come across the Peaks Back Gate, where typically Apar is stationed. This route could prove useful if you’re already in this area, and it offers a more enriching experience. Notably, it’s also near where you engage with Tetsuzan. Once outside your tent, take a right turn to locate Apar standing by the gate directly ahead of you.
As a fan, I’d put it this way: The second approach is through the always dependable World Map. You’ll find the Grand Hub icon conveniently placed in the top right corner of your map now, waiting for you to click on it. Once you’ve explored it once, you can instantly teleport to any of the four main zones within the Grand Hub, such as the main entrance, my Monster Hunter Wilds tent, the Quest Counter, and the Barrel Bowling mini-game area.
