SS Rajamouli is a trailblazing director in the realm of Indian cinema, repeatedly demonstrating his victories. Many actors aspire to work alongside him, but surprisingly, it was not Chiranjeevi who initially declined the opportunity to team up with this esteemed filmmaker.
In recent times, while publicizing his movie The Godfather, Chiranjeevi shared an intriguing motive behind his reluctance to collaborate with director S.S. Rajamouli in a chat with Anupama Chopra.
As a devoted admirer, I’d like to point out that the masterful mind behind Baahubali invests a considerable amount of time crafting each film, whereas he manages to complete several projects in the same duration.
Chiranjeevi expressed some doubts, saying, “I’m unsure if I can complete the project within the timeframe Rajamouli is taking. He invests a significant amount of time into each film and travels for about four to five years. Meanwhile, I’m currently working on four films simultaneously. Spending three to four years on one project right now doesn’t seem feasible.
Subsequently, Vishwambhara star clarified that he doesn’t aim to demonstrate his talents on a national scale solely by collaborating with SS Rajamouli. In simpler terms, he expressed, “I don’t desire to work with SS Rajamouli and showcase my abilities at a pan-India level. That is why I stated that I cannot work under him.
Although Chiranjeevi hasn’t had the opportunity to work with the acclaimed director SS Rajamouli himself, his son, Ram Charan, has already collaborated with him in the film RRR. This collaboration led to an extraordinary achievement, as the movie garnered unprecedented success not only within India but also on a global scale.
Currently, the esteemed Telugu actor is poised to work with several emerging directors, such as Srikanth Odela and Anil Ravipudi. Moreover, there’s buzz surrounding Chiranjeevi’s involvement in Mallidi Vassista’s upcoming mythological action film, Vishwambhara, which is yet to be released this year.
Simultaneously, SS Rajamouli is currently engrossed in directing another grand production called SSMB29, which stars Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Prithviraj Sukumaran.
