During an interview with Galatta Plus, Sai Pallavi once discussed her personal decision to refrain from wearing short outfits in movies. She stated that she finds herself being objectified due to specific measurements, and shared an experience that led her to make this choice.

Indeed, the Thandel star found herself reminiscing about her student days in Georgia, a time when she danced Tango while wearing a dress with a side split. Although she had obtained her parents’ consent for such an outfit, she felt uneasy after observing comments on her dance performance video concerning her side-split dress.

In her own description, she mentioned that folks began halting the video and making comments about her cutout dress. She felt as though she was being reduced to an object, which left her feeling extremely uneasy.

After that, Sai made it clear that the event alone led her to promise herself to avoid actions she might later find awkward. She also stressed that a person’s attire in no way reflects their character or personality.

Ever since that incident, I’ve made a conscious effort to emulate a more thoughtful approach in my actions. There have been times when I held back from doing something, only to later feel uneasy about it. It’s crucial to remember that a person’s character should never be judged by their clothing. If you were to ask my parents, they would probably tell you that I occasionally lose my cool and raise my voice. However, the way I dress doesn’t necessarily define who I am as a person.

Instead of just wearing short dresses, Sai Pallavi has gained attention for choosing not to wear makeup in films. She confidently showcases her authentic skin tone on screen without the use of any beauty products, valuing the importance of expressing her genuine self.
