Jason Momoa‘s historical epic series “Chief of War” has set its premiere date at Apple TV+.
The drama show starts off with the first two episodes on August 1st, followed by a new episode every week until September 19th. This nine-episode series is based on real events and focuses on warrior Ka’iana (played by Momoa), as he endeavors to unite the islands before the era of Western colonization in the late 18th century, according to the official synopsis.
Besides Momoa, the cast also features Luciane Buchanan, Temuera Morrison, Te Ao o Hinepehinga, Cliff Curtis, Kaina Makua, Moses Goods, Siua Ikale’o, Brandon Finn, James Udom, Mainei Kinimaka, and Te Kohe Tuhaka. In simpler terms, Momoa is joined by a cast that includes these talented individuals.
The “Chief of War” show was initially produced by Apple in the year 2022. This marks the second television project that Jason Momoa has collaborated on with Apple’s streaming division, following the airing of the post-apocalyptic series “See,” which spanned over three seasons.
