Warner Bros. has unveiled the launch dates for various formats, including digital, 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD, of Mickey 17 – the latest sci-fi black comedy directed by Bong Joon Ho, starring Robert Pattinson, who is also known for playing The Batman. This announcement follows close to a month since its U.S. theatrical premiere.
In the synopsis of the movie, we find that Mickey Barnes, an unexpected protagonist, finds himself in an extraordinary situation. This situation involves him dedicating his life entirely to his job… to the point of sacrificing his own life, literally, for a living.
When is the Mickey 17 digital, 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD release dates?
Starting April 8, 2025, you’ll be able to rent or purchase Mickey 17 digitally. Four days later, on May 13, 2025, the film will arrive in 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD formats. The movie had a Certified Fresh rating of 78% on Rotten Tomatoes after its debut at the 75th Berlin International Film Festival, based on 311 reviews. This is somewhat lower than the near-perfect Tomatometer score of Bong’s 2019 film Parasite.

2022’s movie “Mickey 17” was created by the talented filmmaker Bong Joon Ho, known for “Parasite” and “Memories of Murder”. The film is an adaptation of Edward Ashton’s novel of the same name published in 2022. The star-studded cast includes Naomi Ackie (“Blink Twice”), Steven Yeun (“Beef”, “Minari”), Toni Collette (“Hereditary”), Mark Ruffalo (“Avengers: Endgame”, “Poor Things”), Holliday Grainger (“The Capture”), Anamaria Vartolomei (“Happening”), Thomas Turgoose (“This Is England”), and many others.
In recent years, Bong has directed his most recent English-language film – a departure from his work a decade ago on Snowpiercer featuring Chris Evans. The production was handled by Bong, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, and Dooho Choi. Brad Pitt, Jesse Ehrman, Peter Dodd, and Marianne Jenkins were the executive producers for this project.
