The first poster for Wicked: For Good promises that fans “will be changed.”
In November of 2024, Wicked (previously known as Wicked: Part I) made its debut in U.S. cinemas. The movie garnered immense popularity and ended up being the fifth highest-grossing film of that year, earning an impressive $744.2 million worldwide.
The play “Wicked” transforms the initial act from the 2003 stage musical written by Stephen Schwartz and Winnie Holzman. A follow-up titled “Wicked: For Good,” scheduled for release in November 2025, will cover the second part of the story.
As a thrilled fan, I’ve just caught wind that the first poster for Wicked: For Good, starring Ariana Grande as Glinda and Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, has been unveiled at CinemaCon! In this captivating artwork, they stand on opposite sides of the iconic Yellow Brick Road, gazing intently at each other.
Check out the poster, via an X post from The Hollywood Reporter, below:

What does the Wicked: For Good poster tell us about the movie?
The phrase “changed for good” is a significant reference from the duet song “For Good,” sung by Glinda and Elphaba in Act 2 of Wicked. In the play, after Elphaba understands that Oz’s citizens are planning to capture or possibly harm her, Glinda attempts to alert her about the impending danger. As they bid farewell, they acknowledge that their friendship has transformed them both “for good.
Once more at the helm for the sequel is director Jon M. Chu. Joining Erivo and Grande in this follow-up are Jonathan Bailey portraying Fiyero Tigelaar, Ethan Slater taking on Boq Woodsman, Marissa Bode as Nessarose Thropp, Michelle Yeoh assuming the role of Madame Morrible, and Jeff Goldblum stepping into the character of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
In the USA, the highly-anticipated film “Wicked: For Good” is set to hit theaters on November 21, 2025, distributed by Universal Pictures. On the other hand, the initial Wicked movie can currently be streamed online on Peacock.
