NEEDLES has revealed a partnership with ts(s), another Japanese label that excels in modern interpretations of workwear and traditional athletic clothing. The compact yet lively cabsile collection offers a mix of fabrics in numerous styles and textures, displaying a diverse array of inspirations drawn from both brands.
Needles has given a new twist to their military-style garments such as the “LINE CREW JACKET” and the timeless “HD PANT”, this time crafted from Italian dobby cloth which boasts a 3D weave. On the other hand, the “V NECK COWBOY SHIRT” and “STRING COWBOY PANT” are fashioned using French fabric adorned with a recurring honeycomb design. These items also sport pearlescent buttons, a common element in Needles’ Western-style attire.
The set is completed by two versions, or color schemes, of the “Color Block Pocket T-Shirt”. These versions feature NEEDLES’ traditional papillon embroidery. In essence, this capsule design embodies specific Japanese aesthetics, emphasizing their appreciation for recycled materials and recurring geometric patterns commonly seen on papers and textiles. Additionally, the smoky patchwork details and indigo dobby fabric are also part of the SS25 collection from both collaborators, showcasing a blend of elements from each partner.
In simple terms, the new partnership between NEEDLES and ts(s) will be available first on the Nepenthes online store and in their brick-and-mortar outlets.
